Year 1 Maths & English Club Summer Term (Thursdays)

Monday and Thursday classes are running the same content so please do not book both days.

Our Year 1 Club offers a fun, structured start to the week, combining key literacy and numeracy skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

During ten week course, each Thursday, children alternate between:

• English & Verbal Reasoning – focusing on early reading, writing, vocabulary, and verbal problem-solving through stories, games, and creative tasks.

• Maths & Non-Verbal Reasoning – developing number confidence, spatial awareness, and logical thinking through puzzles, visual activities, and practical challenges.

The club is ideal for building strong academic foundations and preparing for the 7+, while encouraging a love of learning.

There will be a small piece of weekly homework and targets and feedback will be provided.

🕒 Time: Thursday’s after school- 3:45pm-4:45pm
